I hope you have a few minutes to stay and read some of what I’ve written. 

I’ve lived in Iran, France, California, Kansas, and Missouri. My love of travel and languages has taken me from Guatemala and Vietnam to Russia and India and across Europe. Now, I live in Asheville, North Carolina, with a chess aficionado, a Shih-Tzu named Ming, and the occasional visiting black bear.

Asheville is a special place for me as a writer. The landscape here reflects my writing life. On some days, the sun comes up too early for me. On others, it dips below the mountains too soon. Sometimes the Swannanoa River runs crystal clear. At other times it slogs along like a lazy catfish bogged down in mud and clay. Some nights I have to brake to avoid deer. Some late afternoons I retreat into the house and watch a mother bear and her cubs amble up the driveway.

But most days, I write greeted by temperate weather and blue mountains, waiting for that sudden whiff of mimosa, that rainbow glistening through a waterfall’s spray, that perfect raindrop on a rhododendron’s petal.
